Great service from NOG

Having decided to take the heretical decision to trade-in my '57 GS Adventure, I had a good idea that a K1200S would give me what I was looking for.
Steve at NOG heard through another GS'er and so gave me a call when a midnight black '58 K1200S came in- high miles so my low mile GS meant only a few hundred to change.
I loved the bike, but it transpired the previous owner had been a little lax regarding the service history, and subsequently it couldn't be proved after I had taken ownership. NOG offered me some luggage and a free service, but I wasn't happy with a high miler without a full history.
Looking through the ads, I found another K1200S at Motorrad Central East in Scotland. Under 5,000 miles, with the addition of BMW Luggage, SatNav, Tankbag, ASC, and a centre stand over the one I had. It was up for nearly a grand more than mine, but I called Phil, and he endeavoured to do what he could, explaining the scottish dealer had no obligation to let them have it.

Well, Phil came up trumps and I now have a low mileage, fully laded K1200S with full history-previous owner is the new owner of BMW Motorrad Central East and West dealerships apparently.

And just to make sure I was happy, NOG are doing the 6,000 mile service for free as well!

Now I just need the rain to stop:thumb

Bought my GSA from them and take it back for all work to be done despite a closer dealer. They are always friendly and helpful.

I see no reason to go elsewhere.

Keep up the good work chaps.

Like you, I'm closer to Norhampton, but nothing seems too much trouble at NOG. They get my vote everytime (and my money!).

Thumbs up for NOG. Always there, helpful and fair.

On my 5th bike from them now (they love me !!!!)

NOG not very helpful

On my 1150GS the iABS warning lights came on the 3rd time within the last 2 weeks and only the residual braking were available for the rear brake, I went to NOG and asked if they would be able to read out the iABS Diagnostic system at short notice. Regarding to the Service Staff I would have to wait at least 1 week to get an appointment :(
Again, this is just for a read out of the fault memory not any repair, etc!

I explained that I will require the diagnostic check ASAP before my bike trip to France next week on Thursday.
Of course I have concerns now, that the iABS breaks down eventually when I will be down in France. This employee has not shown any consideration regarding my circumstances instead he just repeated himself. :(

Very, very disappointing...

I am probably just a B class customer as I have never purchased a bike there.
At least I got all my MOTs and some Services done in the past...:green gri

Just by coincidence the last two recalls (fuel relay and front brake line ) were announced just days before I was due to leave for lengthy European trips. On both occasions I phoned and Matt fitted me in almost immediately for the work to be carried out allowing me to go away without the nagging doubt something would be wrong. OK I did buy the bike and had it serviced by them ,but I have always experienced nothing but excellent service from all at NOG.

Hey chaps Ive got a service coming up soon , hope its not too expensive wink wink nudge nudge !!

Maybe I had just bad luck on that day.
In the past, Matt were always very helpul.
Unfortunately Matt was not there and the other guy did not really make any effort to help.
I am still very disappointed.

My F8GS is there overnight after the service tech. trapped a wire in the top of the engine and so needs to strip it down again! Hope I'm not charged for the additional work...
