I have a weekend pass out on the 14th/15th May and open to offers for a ride out through the lanes. Don't mind GS with knobblies or pogo. Anyone up for it ?

Saturday 14th May

In the absence of any other offers I propose the following;

Meet at SBW Motorrad in Hertford (Post code SG14 1PL) at 9.45 am . Leave 10.00 am sharp.

Ride will be led by myself around Hertfordshire / Essex lanes. Gentle pace. GS's with knobblies or pogos welcome. Approx 90 mile loop. Ideally petrol tanks should be full before setting off and bring some lunch. We will however need to stop to refill at some point.

Max 5 riders

Having seen your antics in the old bourne it wouldnt be fair to let you out on your own, so i'm in.

I will be on the SE

BB,

If you fancied a lot of lanes and you've got a pass-out for the weekend, the Herts TRF are also doing a run on the Sunday up to and around Thetford forest, starting at Baldock. Did you get the email?

That sounds exciting, can you forward me the details ?

Thanks Bakerlonglegs. I got the email from the TRF but I need to be back by 2pm on Sunday so Saturday is probably the best day for me.

Hmm ... interested, but I've got a lot of internet porn to surf.....

:mmmm

I know I'm going to regret asking this, but....WTF is a "pogo"?

Have I got one?

Do I need one?

Where the f**k do I get one?

Pixter,

Your not the only one, I just didn't dare ask.

I have googled etc and am no wiser.

So we both await enlightenment :thumb2

I know what a pogo stick actually is! :comfort I had a couple as a kid.

What I meant was....what is it euphamistic for in this context? I'm thinking maybe a motocrosser with long suspension travel? Jeez! :D;)

pogo = a bike designed primarily for off road riding but still road legal to allow use on byways e.g. hardcore trailie or enduro bike. Think KTM, XR Honda, DRZ Suzuki, WR Yamaha, Husqvarnas etc
