Bikes been flawless until now, the abs warning light is on and won't got off with the flashing triangle thing on the lcd, locking the brakes confirms there's deffo a fault.

Indicators are turning themselves on at random?

Speedo is intermittent!

Fuel guage has also stopped working?

All this after my recent trip to Germany without faults!

Dodgy connection? Where to look?

In worse case scenario bike is under warranty

I wouldn't even bother picking up a screwdriver mate. Get it booked in under the warranty.

Low voltage can do strange things. It's worth checking the battery is top top.

After that use the warranty.

Phoned BMW assist and they took it away to the dealers, faulty rear wheel sensor ABS which also controls the speedo so that explains that.

Fuel gauge sender unit or whatever its called was showing as faulty so that got replaced.

Indicators required a new switch unit costing over £225! not covered by warranty switches are not apparently.

Total bill would have come to over £800 if I didn't have warranty which is unreal, my actual bill was around £400, £100 of this was the excess on my policy. Also they did mot & will drop of my bike.

Still seems very strange that it all happened at the same time.

Very odd that it all packed in at the same time. All the faults are fairly common but I haven't ever heard of them happening at the same time.

Glad its all sorted, but £400, ouch!!

Did they lend you the pillow to bite on ??

couldnt you have got one 2nd hand online if your that way inclined, fecked if I'd pay £225 for a switch ! if it's not warranted anyhow how could it invalidate it :)

Had my fog light switch replaced under warranty. It was an approved bmw bike from a main dealer in its third year.

My ignition switch and clutch switch were not covered by the extended warranty,
Ps: you should have paid the extra premium when you took out the warranty to get nil excess, cheaper in the long run if you do have a claim or 2,
I had 2 Claims last year so saved 200 quid in excess payments,:thumb2

The ridiculous repair bills are all part of the subliminal drip drip to make you chop it in for a new bike.
