After my recent introduction to this form of motorcycling and competion I thought I'd go and have another look at what's going with these Geezers (and Gals) on a Sunday in remote and difficult to find locations. I've met one Geezer this week who is competing in these trials who suggested I come along and have a look around for a bike or a burger, and I wondered if anyone else around here is going. There's two Tossers I can think of who finished their year in very respectable positions in another Classic Clubman's Championship and they may be in a good position to advise newcomers as to what's going on if they are attending.

Anyway, I'm going to try and turn up if I can find the location of "Championship Round 11
Plas Onn, Selattyn"
is according to their Website. Longitude & latitude, waypoints and landmarks freely accepted. :thumb2

The link to the Secretary doesn't work so I can't ask for more accurate co-ordinates but If anyone here can help it would be of benefit to me and anyone else who may want to feed themselves with considerabley more calories that a kilo of plutonium contains and go for a hike up a few hills to see what the riders are here for. :blagblah

Get within a mile or two of the advertised venue and follow any tell-tale luminous marker flags, maybe with Castrol written on them and it'll lead you in

Trial's been using that system for 100 years and most people find their way or just follow a car with trials bikes on the back

It's another part of the mystery

Thanks for the link JB: It is a truthfull mystery which I now understand: The Whole of the UK.

I guess I'll have to be there on time to spot the trailers and Castrol stickers this time. :blast Corwen was as elusive as a Sheep Trial until I was waved to to come on board.

Seriously Paul

Check this link out on a Friday http://www.tmxnews.co.uk/pages/Whats-on-this-weekend-i26

There may be some more info and postcode then, or just get somewhere near and follow the arrows, I know it's hardly ideal, but Trials is only just catching up with exacting venue location details

I usually get somewhere near and then follow someone else:augie

I got that one first, but no mention of Selattyn:nenau

I would go with this Paul

In England, it's a wee big simpler as the names are easier:D

Selattyn is to the east. The venue is correct, I've ridden there a few times:thumb

Are you riding on Sunday Eddie?
That is, as Tim says, the venue. There will be arrows from the roundabout on the A5 just South of the McDonalds roundabout near Chirk.
I'm going, Ill give you a ring tomorrow Paul.
Mark

Yes on the classic Gas Gas again:thumb

What you wont see Paul, is competitors "fixing" the sections. :augie

Starts at 11.00, done by 2.00 normally. The catering at the trial will be much better than McDonald's. :thumb
