Grip Puppies and heated handlebar grips ?

Having waited 6weeks for them to come back in stock and be delivered......I'm now thinking whether its a good idea to fit the Grip Puppies over heated handlebar grips ?

Anyone done this and experienced dramatically different heat through the combined grip ?

I've got some on my 800gs. Heat takes slightly longer to get through, but just as warm when it does IMO

I had some on my 800 and now on my 1200 and the heat got through with no problem on the 800 - not had to use the heated grips on the 12 yet

We've got 1 of each. They work brilliantly - heat just fine.

BTW - they've been on mine for 2 years/20k and still doing fine.

It's like falling off a log. A bit of soapy water on the bike grip and inside the grip puppy and it slides right on

I had thought more use of the word 'puppies' would have been made but the lubing seems to have won through in the end.

Once I actually get the bike back I'll stick em on. It's having a shiny near gearbox fitted........following the shiny new clutch the other week........ah.....warranty - my faithful friend...

probably a stupid question but...

How do I get the grip puppies on to my bars, The guards need to come off- do I just loosen the torx and pull the guard forward whilst I install?

What size torx is holding the guard on?
