Griso 1100

I tried one once as really liked the look but found the riding position for me was very uncomfortable. How are you finding it ?

I've used Simply bearings for oddball stuff with no problems.
Seem reliable and also helpful

I’ve used Simply bearings for years and always been happy with them , I was more looking if anyone had used a non Guzzi seal in this application as the OEM one is stupid expensive

Since adding the foot peg lowering brackets and the bar risers I have found it tolerable , I couldn’t say comfortable. For a sunny afternoon ride out it is absolutely fine , beyond that I couldn’t say

Has anyone used a non Guzzi seal for the final drive output seal ? Or is their a reccomendation to go for the Guzzi or Gutsibits one ?

john,i have in the past used gateshead bearings ,they also do alsorts of seals etc, a brilliant local company to us ,and on the odd occasion they dont have what you want,they will do their best to get it for you

Thanks for the reply , I have used them a few times before , its not the sourcing of the part I have the question with , that bit is easy , it is the suitability and longevity of a non OEM part in this application I have the concern over and hence my question . @theoneandonly what would you advise ?

@nicholsonj2252

As long as the surface is unblemished and not grooved or abrasive I believe you would be fine with the Non OE

It is only for oil retention in an Unpressurised vessel Not a High pressure area

is there a breather and is it possibly blocked ? or is it just a bit of overfill dripping off ??
If you clean it with Brake cleaner and put a sheet of paper under it now does it re appear ??

Hi Jay , breather is fine and definitely not overfill dripping , 100% it’s the seal as I’d already cleaned it thoroughly and you can see it weeping

i may have used it round the other way ?
go to a seal supplier , and order the correct size , in Viton rubber . it will be 1/2 the price of guzzi .
