I want to fit a dual seat to my 2000 MY GS1150 (i have the seat) but need to know what parts are required to make it fit

DO you mean and Adventure one piece saddle ?

Then you need everything from the rear of the fuel tank backwards that the seat would mount to on the bike and the rear alloy luggage rack

Yes that is what i mean..

You will need, the seat (!), the front mounting bracket and rubbers, the rear mounting bracket and lock mechanism, the rear rack and grab handle.

Thanks to All..
Just now need to locate the parts (secondhand)

I see you’re having trouble finding the parts. You could consider the Unit Garage seat - direct replacement for the dual seats on a standard 1150 and similar style to the Adv one. I have one. It’s not as long as the two separate seats so probably a poor choice if you ride with a pillion but easy to switch back to the original seats for 2-up riding. Felt very firm at first but is bedding in after a few hundred miles and I find it very comfortable. Not cheap but excellent quality. Fixed position (not adjustable height) and height is about the same as the standard seat in the high position but it’s slimmer at the front so legs are less splayed.

That’s the one from Touratech…no changes necessary, plug and play…
Occ comes up 2 nd hand cheaper

Cheers Guys

Going to stick with the originals, but am having them reworked.
