If you don't need the range of the big tank of the GSA, want the latest GS with all the up to date toys, and aren't worried about having one of the first of a brand new model, then go for it.:thumb I've ordered one, and can't wait.:JB

Well FFS, how the fuck do we know?

Can you afford it?
Do you like it?
Whats wrong with your GSA?
Do you like the colour?
Will it fit in your garage?
Are you dislescis?
Are you a wannabee?
Whats wrong with a KTM?
Have you thought of a Honda?
Have you thought of a Triumph?
Have you a small penis?
Do you shop at Tesco ( a requirement of ownership!)?
Are you a fat lardy tosser?
Are you a skinny twat?

... and are you potty trained? Or do you need help with that also?

The guy is excited about the thought of getting a new bike and wanted to share his thoughts and seek others opinions so cut him some slack you fucking miserable git. :aidan

I wouldn't swap it for that one mate, it's been ragged around off road by a loon :)

Looking forward for the first WC to arrive, just to take a bit of heat away from the 1200 section :aidan

Looks good.
But ::)
Having been a recovery truck driver during the 1st few years of the 1200 gs launch , I think I would wait till some of the bugs are killed !!

Normally I'd agree, but IMO things will be different this time (or hope!). When the 1200 was originally launched in 2004, there was hardly any real competition for BMW, however, this time, there are so many other alternatives.

If BMW get this one wrong, it will cost them dearly.:rob The R&D they have done on this bike is more than any other manufacturer has ever done, so I'm confident that it will be a very good bike.:beerjug:

If it isn't, and mine turns out to be an old nail, I'll report back on here, tail between my legs!:D

Brilliant:D

Personally i'd wait a year or so until any glitches have been ironed out(plus I haven't got the cash:blast) I do agree with Nutty, I think this bike is going to be very good, a big improvement on the current model but still with character of the current bike:thumb If you fancy it and can afford it then go for it and enjoy it!

Thanks for your support guys, felt a bit suicidal after Red,s1 comments.(nasty man)
Hey Andres
The K1600GT is nice but not enough room for my legs, and a bit lardy round the bends, nice on the Autobahn though
Hey Nutty
A new GS doesn't worry me,had 3 from new no probs.thats what warrantys are for,enjoy....( I like your white Beemer the 4 wheeled one)

Agree with you and Nutty I had 2004 model as soon as it came out and a twin cam one and not a problem with either, I think BMW would be very foolish to launch something in this day and age before it's fully tested. That's one of the benefits of competition it sharpens up everyones act. Look forward to first groups tests.
