gs 1250 rider modes

my 2020 GS TE exclusive appears to lack the preselect in the menu, i’ve plugged the red dongle in but this only gives me access to even more modes i don’t use. ideally id just have road and dynamic and cycle between the two depending on how much coffee i’ve had.
Any ideas? update needed?

Take a look at just the way it is YT channel. He has a great video on the rider modes.

They had a change of software in 2021.

Yours is probably too early. Like mine.

So only 3 stage TC instead of 5. Etc.

Older style indicators etc.

If I remember right, from when I had my 1250 GS Exclusive you have 4 standard rider modes: Rain, Road, Dynamic and Enduro. Then when you plug in the red dongle it adds Dynamic Pro and Enduro Pro, these can be adjusted. Without the dongle you have to cycle through the 4 standard modes to get to the one you want.

As Rich says, there was a change in subsequent years on models that have the X type DRL.

that’s a shame, i’d really like choose just road and dynamic, is it possible to update the software, with a GS911 or dealer

I was a bit miffed too when I found out.

Wanted to play with the wheelie settings.
