I've downloaded it onto the pc but i can only download half the file to my phone.when i try to open in on the phone it tells me 'File format not supported'can anybody help me.

Whatever phone you've got you need to download Microsoft Active Sync.
Install that on your PC and then attach the phone to the PC with a cable/bluetooth/wireless or whatever method you normally use.
Then run the program to install the GS911 software on the phone.
Tells you how to do all that on the hexcode website somewhere.

I have a Nokia 6300 and it works.

You need Nokia's OVI suite - or put the GS911 software on a micro SD card and put the card into the phone.

When i purchased my GS-911 i got the bluetooth version, not for use with my phone but my PDA,
No matter how i tried i couldn't get my PC to sync with the PDA, so i had to result in e-mailing them
The problem solved in 3 lines..... my HP Ipaq PDA was out of date.... 4 years old believe it or not is vintage and it's operating platform is windows pocket mobile 2003, The 911 requires either windows mobile 5 or 6..
I now have to get a laptop or newer PDA.... so beware
