GS - 911 Fault Finder

Biketec would post out to each individual buyer of a bulk purchase incuded in the price. But as I have said they are offering 5% discount on 10 0rders and buy 15 get one free on an order of 15.So on the bluetooth GS-911 which i believe is the one to have, the price is 294.5 euro(£210) or 290.63(£207) Euro. With the amount of potential sales from this site to the owners of BMW bikes i do not feel that the level of discount is sufficient to make it worth while.I will suggest that they look at this site and judge the potential market that there is.
When I first comunicated with the makers in ZA they said the big stumbling block was shipping however they pointed out that 2 units could be shipped for the price of 1.i.e $52 and their price for a bluetooth GS-911 is $299.So to ship two to the UK the total would be $650,£322.55 £161.28 each.Thats £45 difference even with onward postage thats a saving!

is that price including customs duty.
please let me know what you are doing as if you dont do a bulk buy i will order one my self as reading some post here it sound like it is a good piece of kit to have in your top box, with dealer labour rates over here at 110 euro an hour 3 trips to the dealer with any problem would soon add up to that amount.so i would not mind paying the 310 euro but every little helps so if you could get a few bob knocked off it would be nice, but things dont always work out the way you want! what do you think we should do karnevil

I would hope that if we were to do a bulk buy that they would mark them samples or gifts to save the customs.

Landed cost for two £322.55
Duty £14.84
VAT £59
Handling charge (guess) £10

Total for two:- £406.39, each £203

That's where the £45 comes from, VAT, duty and handling charges.

But if you can get the manufacturers to do a better price, say $249 per unit for an order of 20, and get them shipped for $300 including all charges, then you could get a price, at the UK freight forwarders depot of around £161. But the whole deal would be cash up front, you'd lose some in exchange rates, insurance and transfer fees too. Plus it's no small amount of work collecting all the dosh, finding someone to insure the shipment, and who picks up the can if there is a failure?

I don't think the Irish deal is too shabby, given that the makers increased the price by $50 odd when they appointed a distribution network, the margin for the Irish guys isn't going to make them rich, or anyone who can afford an expensive bike poor!

at last someone is talking sense! so i think you should make up your mind soon to order them as i dont think them irish lads will keep that offer on the table for long! as the word will get out soon that they are selling them and they probably wont be interested in doing the club a bulk deal.

Well maybe each person who wants one should arrange their own purchase, easiest way.I tried my best.Cheers.
