Don't wish to upset anyone but.......

I also have a Triumph Sprint RS

IMHO I don't really consider that to be firmly suspended achey wrist and back uncomfy riding position sportsbike!.... it felt more like a VFR when I had a demo out......

I thought we were talking R1's and Milles blades and Ducati916/998/999 et all which tend to get airborne frequently on some of the more undulating roads!

Is it a slow yellow one or a fast black one, that might be the difference

:D :D :D :D

runs away and hides.............................

Black of course - it's the only colour for the RS!!!!

So far, I would say that on 90% of roads the GS is outclassed by any modern Sportsbike/SportTourer. But that isn't to say that I don't have fun when out on the GS, I just have a realistic view of it's performance and enoy the bike for what it is - a good all round bike which is capable of going on roads that would break the suspension of most other bikes, yet still fast enough on A roads to have fun.

I made the jump from a race prepped TLR :D to the GS ADV. A just like everyone else i seemed to be going just as fast as before. Then i realized i didn’t have to concentrate so hard on braking points etc plus i could see more of the surroundings from the ADV somewhat loftier position. so i seem to have slowed naturally (well almost).

Also i found the TLR wasn’t as fast on loose gravel and fire trails.

Having said that i kept the TLR though ;)
