GS fiitted with GSA Screen opinion.

After many attemps to reduce wind noise and buffering i decided to follow advice on fitting the Adventure screen along with winglets. I was a little dubious with the whole thing as the cost with all the bits was £330-00.
I had already tried torbinators / laminar lips etc etc and did get the overall wind / buffering down to a good level ( but always wanted better) hence the above.
Result : £330-00 well spent.(Balderston BMW)
The improvement is big , i find that wind noise is minimal and buffering almost nill. Brilliant.
I know this subject has been done before but i thought i would share my findings.I can now concentrate more on riding than fiddling with the standard screen , best bit 120mph and the is bike steady as a rock and feels like 70mph.

Balderstons are doing the whole kit for £280 on Ebay at the moment, or £310 with winglets. I am tempted but not sure how much better than my Givi and NN winglets....

Not sure how much better it will be against a Givi but against a standard GS screen well worth £300. Also much better for the pillion according to my wife. With the standard screen she had a lot of buffeting above 70 mph but with the GSA screen I have no complaints at +80mph.

Headers... The Givi is wider than the GSA screen so keeps the cold air off your shoulders/arms better than the GSA.

GSA owner, 6' 5" tall buffeting issues with the GSA screen so bought the biggest and widest Cee Baileys screen.

Looks good, well made, easy to fit and protects me from buffeting and rain, absolutely love it and would recommend it

A real difference

Got rid of my GSA screen on mine. It was alright but buffeting with the System 5 became annoying..... Having just bought a System 6 from Chandlers (Brighton) for £292.50 (inc. 10% BMW Club discount) I think it has made as much difference to buffeting/noise etc; as I obtained by fitting a GSA screen to my previous GS. Just be careful if you do either - you will find yourself going into corners rather faster than you may have intended!

Just gone from a GS with a Nippy Norman high and wide to a 09 GSA and the screen buffeting at 80 is really uncomfortable. Never had this on the GS even with standard screen. If i hadn't sold my Nippy on i'd be trying it on the GSA. I'm 5'8" and have the same seat as my GS so should be OK. maybe i'll nip off the black lugs on the adjusters as suggested to me by another member on this forum and see what happens.

got winglets and nippy normal on lowest setting , perfect quiet blast free riding at last. Only mistake I make was getting tinted at night would prefer clear. Added the sargent seat and extended the rear brake pedal. At last as I expected it to be when I brought it

I know what your saying, I look over the top but at night on the motorway I was getting rained on and thought humm if I did it again Id by clear. For others it may not be an issue.

Hi. I did the same on my GS having traded in my GSA for the lighter more nimble GS. I'm 6 ft plus and have a Touratech clip on extension to my GSA screen. Now that really is windless and quiet and even more relaxing for long distance. Can recomend this option. JJ
