GS..............G/S

hopefully not too stupid a question, but.......

does GS and G/S mean the same thing or is there a difference?

G/S is the pre 87 monolever bike.

GS is all the others

i think early bikes were Gellande Strasse but at some point it changed to Gellande Sport, but i'm not sure if that coincided with the loss of the /
