Has anyone had their sat nav cradle jam with the sat nav installed? I went to remove it this morning at our coffee stop and it wouldn’t play ball. The key side is fine but when I slide the left hand lever it stays red so I can’t release it with the right hand lever. I have sprayed it with WD40 but that hasn’t helped. I have rang my dealer to see if they have come across the problem but they couldn’t suggest anything other than go to the dealer in Edinburgh, but as we go home tomorrow that’s not possible. We probably won’t get back to our dealer tomorrow until they shut as it’s 400 miles away.

Not the end of the world but wondered if anyone has had this problem?

Try pushing the nav hard into the cradle whilst pushing the right hand lever otherwise a thin screwdriver lifting the red bit whilst pushing the right lever.

Worth a read below, hope you have a dental pick in the topcase. ;)

Nothing with us that might work unfortunately

Maybe overkill but if it will not come out, does not mean nothing is broken inside and might decide to jump out on the way home, stick a big elastic over it maybe, ask hotel etc. ;)

Tried this, the colour changed from red to black (not green) but when I then try the right lever it goes back red

It will probably stay in there as it lasted 100 + miles over some bumpy roads today

Update

Stopped at Bahnstormer on the way home from Scotland, service guy came out to look at the bike and the sat nav came straight off and it worked every time he or I tried it

So don’t know if the wd40 just needed time to work or 380 miles of bumps worked it free

To be fair he told me if it did it again they would replace it

Oh well, didn’t cause us much trouble. Sorry to leave Kelso after our week there, was trying to talk the wife into moving up there but she says it’s too cold
