Finnish GS-Meeting
This year they´ve gone a bit softer for attendees. Meeting is held at spa-grounds. Rough and ready GS-riders who haven´t managed to get mud all over them on they´re treks can have the mud-baths inside the spa

We're likely to catch the ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki, but probably won't be in to Helsinki until about 4pm.
The plan probably is to leave Riga early on Friday morning and ride up to Tallinn in time to get the 1400 ferry. Does that sound OK?
We'd then be riding from Helsinki to the Rally site arriving early evening.
How long do you think the ride would take from Helsinki to the site? It only looks like maybe 4 hours riding?

Yes its about 4hrs were i live. But from docks it´s upto 5.5 hrs allowing one short stop. Slowest part is to navigate trough evening traffic in the city.
I was plannig to start heading up north about midday´ish. If i´m around that time in afternoon i could come and meet you. Personally i would catch an earlier ship. 11 or 11.30. If you decide to come day earlier, you are welcome to stay.

Can you estimate the time to get up to Tallinn from Riga? I don't mind an early start if that's what it takes!!
I'll do some more planning. Due to childcare we don't have a huge amount of time, but we'll try to make the most of it.

The ferry options seem to be 1100 or 1400. Nothing in between!
I'd certainly prefer the 1100 ferry so I may have to do some longer days to get there!

If possible don´t stay at Riga because getting through the city is pain. Endless traffic-lights. If you have a chance, go to Saulkrasti. There is a nice b&b near the beach called Saulrieti. Get the "bungalow" and
you´ll be surprised. From Saulkrasti its about 3hrs to Tallinn.

If it was July then would be there.
Just for interest was going to Estonia/Tallin but a Doc I know told me to keep well clear as Estonia and particularly Tallin. It has a bad problem with TB and it is a particularly drug resistant type. So on medical advice getting the ferry from Stockholm to Riga instead.
