What do you guys use to clean and protect the plastics on your bikes? I've got a black 07 GS and like to keep it clean, but not sure what to use on the plastic parts to stop them fading. Mostly concerned about the plastic side panels (with the BM logo), but also switch gear and rear mudguard and things like that.

Any tips?

Thanks in advance

On black plastic parts (small side panels ect.) I use AutoGlym bumper care, I have tried almost any products but nothing as good as AutoGlym bumper care, put it on leave it for 10 min. and dry off with a clean cloth.:thumb2

On the side panel, standard GS (like painted parts) I use normal auto polish from Autoglym.

cheers, I'll give that a try. My side panels are the rough black plastic like the other trim if that makes sense. I'll give that stuff a go.

Second the AutoGlyn excellent stuff great on hand guards, Adventure side panels and lots of over black rubber/plastic bits.

I`ve got a 54 plate 12 & have no problems with the plastics fading so don`t bother putting anything on. I do use the Autoglym bumper care on the cars slightly faded plastics though :thumb2
Also try Kiwi black shoe polish :thumb2

I'm with Big Lee on this one but minus the Kiwi friut type stuff :thumb2
54 plater, 21k and have never polished the plastics, err because there plastic thus shouldn't need polishing.
Rinse,
spray muck off type stuff
leave a couple of mins
Rinse
Turtle wax car shampoo, AKA- lots of bubbles
Rinse
Chamoix
Auto Glyme Bumper care as required
Like new:thumb2 (ish)
And so on and so forth:clap
