When I ride on motorways or on long journeys I find it much more comfortable to use the rear pegs, as this puts more weight on my arms and less strain on my back.

Does anybody know if you can buy a foot peg that is more rearset than the standard one.

Am I alone in finding the standard peg position not particularly comfortable at speed ?

Cheers

Hi James,
I know what you mean, I test rode a 1150 & 1200 & found the pegs to be further back, or so it seemed, on the 12 which I found much more comfy. That was coming from a Triumph Daytona 955i that does have a much more extreme riding position than the GS. I do drag my boots a bit on the 12 when cornering :D

i agree. fastway pegs should lower the pegs slightly & put them back a bit further too.

i have a set from my 1150 laying about somewhere & keep meaning to fit them to my 12.

James, I do this all the time, it's a useful technique for alleviating pressure, and insuring you shift your weight about regularly....:thumb

Fitted fastaways, lower setting, on my 1150GSA. I hope this will ease any aches on long journeys.

Used to do this all the time on my VFR, and before that, Sprint.

Never do it on the GSA - it's just fantasticially comfy for me as stock. Haven't changed a thing - bars, pegs, seat nowt - just works for me.

If its an 1150 you have, Rockster or 1150r footrests will fit straight on.
