GS Samaritans

I don't mind coming up on Saturday or Sunday for a few hours if your stuck. I've done an 1150 clutch and can't be that much difference apart from the cable. Let me know your plans and I'll see what i can do.

Couple of kegs and a bottle of that German stuff should get the job done..

If you give us a pm with directions I'll confirm later in the week. You obviously got the exhaust off then? Bacon butties would more than suffice.

Mr Google says 2hr 21m 95miles

Now THAT'S what this place is all about.

I mean, where else would you get such a superb picture of a gorgeous lass with some stupendous jugs?

And you thought I meant some decent soul trekking two hours and a bit to change another GSer's clutch!

:D

Well thanks to Ian I'ts alive again can't believe he blew my fuse then ran off LOL
Na great job all well on test ride once I knicked the fuses out the A3 lol shhhhhhh
Goto get carbs sorted now its all over place :)

Many thanks Ian I'll return the favour at some point

Don't forget what I said- do not exceed 25mph for the first 3000 miles just in case we, sorry, you forgot to tighten something up!

Oh bugger does that invalidate your warranty then :blast.
Well if fixed that right hand throttle cable and took it a wee run its far far better can ride it now lol.
I’ll see about getting it balanced on Monday.

Job done

:beerjug:

Uh oh.....

I went into Tescos yesterday evening.

At the far end of the car park was a lonely looking GS with (presumably) its' owner laid on the tarmac next to it.

As I approached I was wondering what reason the rider would have to do such a thing. I came up with a few possibilities:

  • It was an intrepid round-the-worlder who was so Hard he merely laid down next to his bike to have a sleep.
  • It was an intrepid round-the-worlder who had collapsed through exhaustion.
  • It was an intrepid round-the-worlder who couldn't go on and had shot himself
  • Scottishbmwbiker had rebuilt his clutch only to have the fecker break down on him the first time he took it out.

Guess which one?:augie

:surrender

Ok ok I did'nt fit the throttle cable right...

But it did look like a good place for a snooze

Was up your way about 30 min ago few 800gs about you breading them now ?
