OK so I won a replacement seat lock mechanism to replace my araldited one.

Can I re-key the lock as I have done with some panniers. If so how do I get the lock barrel out of it's holder. I've had a look and tried the parts diagrams but no luck.

Cheers

unclip the back of the plastic rail . And you'll see the rear locking pin of the lock barrel

and then watch in horror as all the little bits going pinging off around the garage.

Thee are no pinging parts - just a piece of straightened coat hanger that operates your seat lock :D

Done that after taking the 4 screws out. However, I can't see how the lock barrel comes out of the plastic holder. Not sure if it's a circlip or something holding it all in.

Look again - it's a tab on the bottom of the key barrel , with a small screwdriver push it in and pull the barrel out

As I flounder in the sea of confusion, a shining light reaches out and sets me on the path of knowledge and fulfilment.

A bit over the top I know, but thank you neverless :thumb :thumb
