gs throttle problem and flat spot....

gs just back from stupidly expensive 36k service: had throttle cable replaced by competent local mechanic but....seems since the new one was fitted, im suffering the ability to spin the back wheel in all gears as i accelerate. also, at idle its developed a flat spot which has caught me out twice at junctions......so. local mechanic is happy to rectify the problem but I had hoped someone here can give me more details as to what the problem is so he can do a good job sorting it out.

Throttle Cable

If you have had the cables replaced then these will affect the balancing of the carb/inlet thingys.

Get the mechanic to re balance them at idle and also halfway on the throttle as the cables will have different characteristics from the old stretched ones.

Hope this sorts it out.
