Hi Guys - Well done to you that got into the top 5.
I made the cut tot he top 20 but really messed up a couple of sections so the top 5 wasn't for me - this time.
Think it may be time to buy a trials bike and practice sections for next year.
It was a great event and really good to catch up with everyone and drink a few beers.

I may have to ride Number 35, got me through to 3rd in the end from 5th twice. What a day. Thanks to all that made it possible.Got all the way through to the top 5 then messed upoh well finished 5th overall, not bad for a fat useless TOSSER

I've heard a mutter and a murmur that although the BMW GS Trophy worldwide maybe every 2 years, there might just be (and this isn't in anyway agreed yet) due to the response this year, be another sort of kinda version next year....watch this space I guess....Seems everyone was happy with the way it went.
Here's a tip, take a look at Dawn to Dusk in August, there's a 6 hour, 12 hour and full 24 hour race, at Walters arena....get a team together and register....it's Nick's baby, so it'll have some tricky bits...bit too much for a 1200GS maybe, but a 16 mile lap and 24hrs would certainly hone the skills in off road riding.
Go to the Touratech website and the Racing tab.

It kinda spoils the skill this rider was displaying, cus perhaps he was just a hooligan.
OK he crashed into another bike waiting to go next, not really his fault as the marshals went expecting anybody to get round let alone in such style. 
It was a pleasure meeting you Martin, how depressing was going back to work Monday

Anyone know where the results list of the 2 day trial that took place at Walters as part of the Touratech event is? Cant see it on the Touratech web site...

Yep, you need to go to the BMW Motorrad or BMW Off Road Skills sites, we weren't given the day 2 results, they were announced live on stage instead.

..... I wasnt sure if you were going to get up after that fall at the end though 
tougher than it looked
and it only got harder on day 2
some of the stuff we did in the final was a nightmare on the 800. Fun though and it looked like everyone had a good time. Hopefully next year i'll be on form
