I’m swapping from a GS to an R.

Various tables I’ve looked at say they’re the same insurance group.

Anybody done this and can confirm or not?

Obviously the thing to do is phone my insurance up but I don’t have a reg number yet and I’m just thinking ahead.

Look on ebay autotrader etc for a bike the same age and model as you seek then borrow the reg (if visible) from an ad. You're only doing it for illustrative purposes so no harm in doing so.

Insurance varies by the day sometimes so someone else's experience might not help u much. Your owin insurer should give u a better idea.

as above, borrow a reg no from a photo and run a comparison on confused.com or similar

I have been doing this with potential new addresses in my search for a new home - I have created an alter ego with the same biographic profile using a long defunct email address and 07000 123456 phone no. Theory being a high premium indicates a dodgy area, although it could just have a serial crasher.
