GS1100 Dimensions

I've done a search but can't find anything here,so can someone please tell me how wide a GS1100 is,ie what would be the narrowest gate it would fit through and would it be the bars or the cylinder heads that would be the deciding factor ?

its the bars ,there about 32 to 36 inch (well that's about right on my 1150 and theres not to much difference)

Actually it doesnt matter.

If the bike doesn't go through the gate I'll have to leave it in the road for the time being.

Won't make much difference as it's a bit of a shitter and a few more dents wont matter.

I had the same problem dude, i removed the beading around the gate frame and wheel it in, turning from left lock to right lock to get the bars through one at a time.

A good result really, it makes it harder to get out, much harder in the dark if you've never done it before, an alarm going off and the gut feeling that something very bad for you is heading down the stairs to reclaim that which is rightfully theirs.........
