Well put the engine back together using Steptoes guide and it fired up no probs. Heads are fitted with new studs and are now painted black, still lots more to do but (brakes !!). Has anyone got a photo of a 1100 with link pipe and can ? fitted link pipe and cannot figure out how to fit the can (scorpion) the can is well past the fixing point on the footpeg hanger. cheers

hiya mate, are you going on about this link pipe and end can,if so i,ve just fitted mine and at the moment i,m having running probs(running rich)let us know mate how yours run with whatever setup you have cheers

Offered it up again and the can is well clear of the securing point, did you cut the linkpipe down to bring the can back towards the strap point ?
Cannot see in the photo where the can is secured to the frame, is it the original fixing point ?

hiya matey.i,ve just fitted my link pipe.i,ve had to cut about 3 inch off it so the end of the can sits about 2 inch behind the strap hanger.its gonna depend on the length of can you have.hope this helps cheers craig

I thought that pipe looked familiar :augie But its not the one fitted now. Purchased this one from Quill/Warrington who spent a couple of hours cutting back & shaping the link pipe. Well pleased with the result, sounds great without being too loud & a noticable difference (increase :)) in performance.
