I have just looked at the thread concerning the ABS idiot lights & their meanings. I have 2 handbooks with my bike, BUT neither of them mention these ABS lights. What else am I missing by not having this book. Has anyone out there got some means of passing this information on to me? I assume that I should have 3 books?

Assuming you have the Rider's manual and the Maintainance Instructions and not two of the same?

Pages 88 and 89 of the Riders manual details the light functions in mine!

I have the riders manual which ends at page 80 at the index. Also have the service & technical booklet which ends at page76 which gives the 'motorcycle data'.
Neither of them go into detail about brake bulb failure, or individual ABS failure front/rear.
So can anyone help me by copying this & e-mailing it to me, please?

Your profile doesn't say what age your bike is so if the manuals you have are original and the right ones for the bike, I doubt the later manuals will help!

Do you have ABS or Servo-ABS?

The manuals for the Servo-ABS bikes are 6th edition dated from 10. 2002 onwards. The self-diagnostic system and warning lights for the later bikes are different so may be you are trying to find out something that doesn't apply to your bike?

November 2003, integral brakes ABS bike. I phoned today, the bloke I spoke to said that the only book he was aware of was the one I had. It is the 3rd edition, so obviously is not the correct one for my bike.
I faxed a copy of the page from this site, page 89 ABS troubleshooting, interesting to see what they say, if they reply.

Another question, the Service & Technical booklet that was supplied is the 2nd edition, is this the correct edition?

The dealer who shall remain nameless [ Hampshire!] just patronised me saying that they just plug the bike in and see what the fault is.
