GS1200 Foot Pegs - Good Alternatives?

Suburban Machinery pegs

hi timstone8 - like you I to have an 09 R1200GS - owned for about a month - PO had a low seat fitted. I'm about 6' tall and find the low seat & standard pegs cause me considerable pain in my knees

I purchased these from Suburban Machinery - certainly a nice peg in my view - make a significant difference to my comfort level although I'm still contemplating either swapping my low seat for a standard seat or buying a standard seat

good luck

'Evening all,

This is possibly a very silly question but has anyone tried swoping the pillion footpegs for the riders footpegs?

Looking at my 2009 Panzer it appears that this is possible, resulting in a larger and slightly lower footpeg for the rider without spending big wonga.

Hi

I did indeed call in to Battersea....and they told me that they did not do any rubber pegs for the GSA pegs.

Is that wrong?

Tim

The rubber inserts come from one of the 650 single range; a BMW part.

I've been using Pivot Pegz for a couple of years, and if you stand up on the pegs a lot, they are brilliant. Even if you stay seated, they are much more comfortable than regular fixed pegs. If you can get over the cost, you won't be disappointed.:thumb

+1 They are the dogs and worth every penny. They have optional rubber inserts to if you want them (why I don't know). Until you try them you can't understand how much better they are - not just for standing up but for road riding too.
