I am running XP pro.

can you see my sponsor logo ....and this aint a wind up paul.

Flippin 'eck.....not again!!!!

the Sponsor's logo is visible still for anyone who's sponsored......I can see yours fine Ming, and yours Paul.

If you're not seeing them yourselves, it's your java or pop-up security settings......it could be an option in your internet security settings in control panel, an anti virus checker (some block pop ups automatically and you have to tell them not to) or your firewall, quite pssible the SP2 one but I haven't played with that in detyail yet so I'm not sure where the settings are.

Had the same problem.. See Yosi's thread in Comments.
Tried all Firewall, Control settings etc etc.. no joy.
Downloaded SP2 update and all is well... worth a try;)

Hoove,
Don't tell me that you have you own certified shipper and that you have another customer owing you money who promised to pay you with a certified bank check and he will be sending the
certified bank check down on your behave and you will
deduct your amount, and to Have it in
mind that the remaining balance of the excess fund
will be wire transfer through Western Union
International Outlet.....

Who are you

Jimbo, he seems legit to me (based on the conversations we've had), he works for a recognised dealer.

This thread poses an interesting question, where does one draw the line between a favour and commercial advertising?

Clearly Hoove is trying to do a favour to members of the board whom are waiting for a 1200 by letting them know first hand, but of course this can be construed as advertising as it can potentially be to his benefit? But surely another GS'er on the road is a good thing?

One thing is clear is that the seasoned forum regulars weald a big pointy stick and bellow "thou shalt sponsor or else ye can bugger off elsewhere" and they especially seem to point it at those who have or are purchasing a 1200, its just something i have noticed as a relatively new member. For me its water of a ducks back, but this 'attitude' may turn away new members who have lots to contribute, and whom benefits then?

For me personally once my GS is under my arse I shall happily sponsor, it seems only fair, but incentives rather than dictation usually bring more benefits.

The VFR forum has a members section with certain downloads not readily available to other member (amongst other wonderful nuggets of information), and not in the time i've been there have i seen anyone complain about non-paying members 'consuming bandwidth' or members not subscribing.

You ought to stop being a bunch of whinging old gits and go take your medication, nurse will be along shortly to liquidise your dinner :P:P

PS WinXP SP1 and 2 all work fine with the logos

there is a thread which non sponsers can't see - its the discount / bargain thread , but not telling you about the really good one, you'll have to be a sponser ( at your own leisure, no arm twisting, give you time to save up the coppers from your paper round )

now you can stop whinging about being whinged ( all i said was have you noticed ) about .

nurse, nurse, another one has got out .

:D :D

Russ....this is why the thread has been left up rather than me deleting it.....and I'm glad someone else has articulated it.

I hope it'll be of benefit for one of the many after a 12gs.....and even though it's a bike or sale at a dealer, I felt that the intention in this case was to make a genuine contribution rather than just to make a profit.....

Having said that, I hope Hoove has taken the hint in the removal of the contact details and will sponsor up (or get his dealership to speak to Paul and arrange something) before another offer is made......;)

As for your point that....
One thing is clear is that the seasoned forum regulars weald a big pointy stick and bellow "thou shalt sponsor or else ye can bugger off elsewhere" and they especially seem to point it at those who have or are purchasing a 1200, its just something i have noticed as a relatively new member
...I'm a dedicated 1150 man and though I'll grant you there is a recent history of differences between 11xx owners and 12gs owners/potential owners, it's not as deep as the posts and comments over the last 12 months might lead you to believe.

Apart from in Paragon's case of course.
;) ;) ;)

See that number Stavros???

24 posts.

I'm a newbie......but If I ever got anywhere near even just a hundred posts I'd fully expect flak for being a tight freeloading P.O.S.

Pay up Bubble!!!!

:shoot:

It seems to me the Hoove has already answered a load of 'not strictly related' questions, eg-how much is my bike worth in the trade, btw it's not a GS? and you all seem happy to have him here for that and other news that's BM related. But, if he offers a deal that 'might' have some small financial impact to his company, you all get on your high horses!

Get a grip, guys, he's trying to do us all a favour- duhhhhhhhhh!

ps/ is this also a microsoft users forum? how dull is all that dross I've just sieved through..............
