Well I cant speak from experience as i've not ridden a GS but i'm currently onto my second 1200 GSA (an 08 model with both the Premium and Dynamic packs) and I love it. It does everything I want from a bike and I think it looks the muts nuts.

Sounds like you have my aliment, always wanting something differant :blast

Ive had 5 new bikes in 5 years and im really happy with my 08 r1200gs ( for now ) try and think about what you really want from a bike and give it a chance or buy a little trial bike like a DR 350 and just have some fun on that, it feels like your riding at a ton and your only doing 40 :jibber

hope this helps

My guess is it's not what ya got, it's what ya doing with it.

A Fireblade is (allegedly) a race bike fore the road.
A GS is an all road adventure bike.

Go racing, and/or go have an adventure.
