Just wondering if anyone has fitted the above? I don't want to fit the RAM mount to the bars, so the options seem to be a) Get the RAM parts to allow mounting of the swivelly ball type things (technical term!
) onto the rail above the clocks, or b) buy the purpose designed mount from Motorrad concepts which fits to the top rail above this one. I think that the latter option will probably make for a neater, more original looking option, what do you guys/gals think?
One other quesition please. As far as hardwiring the power connections, can anyone recommend the easiest/neatest option. a) using the supplied power cable to go back to battery or rear of accessory socket or b) use a specialised "piggy back" connector (also from Motorrad)
Appreciate any advice or suggestions. BTW the Zumo seems like a great bit of kit, used it in the car today (the 550 comes with an in car adaptor with speaker integrated) It was much better than the factory unit that I have in my Audi!!. Will need to decide on trying to get a bluetooth adadptor for helmet as BMW have "suspended" their own one for now? Or whether to think about adding something like an Autocom and hardwiring through this. (Should keep me busy for a while anyway)
Cheers
