GS1250 TFT - Iphone connectivity

"28% of the mobile phone market is the highest of all phone manufacturers"

You need to check on that, Samsung makes more smartphones than Apple does.

Frankly I don’t give a sh*t how many phones Apple or Samsung make.

I’ve got an iphone, and I’ve got a GS (overpriced German fashion accessory, perhaps) and I simply expect them to work together. I have no issues with any other Bluetooth device with my iphone, and you apparently have great success connecting your Far Eastern phone to your bike. Great. I’m delighted for you. Now give over the anti-iphone blather.

And your market share info is Bollocks if this is to be believed

Apple 54% that is twice Samsung 27%

And Samsung are losing their share year on year to Xiaomi.

Do you have a problem reading? Worldwide phone manufacture and you quote UK sales. Now that is funny.
Where did you think that your iphone is made? Certainly not in Europe, and not the US either, it is made in the Far East.
I am not anti iphone, just don't chose to possess something that is the Harley Davison of the phone world.

My Xiaomi works great with my BMW TFT.

Who snuffled the other 16.04% of the market?

There are lots of different makes in China and HK that we don't see.

Just concentrate on enjoying riding ,don't get too caught up in distractions, enjoy riding for what it is, pure joy!

Does your husband have a phone also?

Following this thread is white interesting. The simple matter is, if BMW cannot make a bike which connects reliably to iPhones then they should tell us. People could then buy bikes from a different brand which can do such things.
In my own case I ride a Goldwing which connects to iPhones seamlessly wether wirelessly or wired. The only downside is, if you want to use CarPlay you have to use it wired . Generally, I don’t bother.

There are two choices, change your bike or change your phone, but then the iphone users would have nothing to moan about. :blast

It’s not the easiest thing to use as you need to put it in the boot.

They also didnt pay the android auto license initially

My iPhone works well.

It also gives me an air of superiority, knowing that poor people are using android

True. But it’s not an issue. Incidentally, if you have a non airbag model. It’s got a cubby hole for the phone where the airbag would usual would be. A good system.

Oh dear, the playground has emptied spilling out onto our civilised forum.

Time for some of us to grow up and emulate what the rest of us do best, enjoy riding bikes? :pullface

Good luck with than one - there are a few on here that could pick a fight in an empty bar...

I recently had another complaining session with BMW after what are now 2 years of connection issue

They did another software update and the so called expert told me that I needed my (i) phone paired with both bike and Cardo headset !!!

Tried it for a bit but as you can imagine it was a mess……….
