GS2 boots?

Are they waterproof? I just got a pair (xmas pressie) but haven't had chance to try them seriously yet, also I'm not allowed to open them until xmas :D

I'm sure the chap in the shop said they were not waterproof, I have some waterproof socks to use when I go riding through big puddles.

I'll let you know in a couple of weeks! :)

I spoke to a fellow GS rider at the Ponderosa the weekend before last and he wasn't too impressed with his new, blue GS boots. He stated that he had only worn them three times and each time a strap had broke whilst putting them on!

According to the German BMW site they are Spritzwassergeschützt
which means something like "resistant to splashing water".

They don't claim that for the GS1 boots. And I can confirm that those are certainly not waterproof.

About Savanna boots for example, they say those are vollkommen wasser- und winddicht
which means fully water and windproof

So I suppose you can get through a shower without wet feet in the GS2's, but not stand in a river or ride all day in torrential rain...

Cheers,
Michel
