GSA 1200 06-07

Hi there guys

i have an 04 GSA 1150, and i was thinking or changing to an 06-07 1200 but im unsure what they are like iv seen a lot on bike trader and e bay is this model not as strong as say the 1150 or the newer 1200 and advise would be greatly thanked

Keep the 1150.


I had an 06 GSA12 but now have an 1150GS and much prefer the latter

The reliability differences between models are smaller than the unknown quantity that is mechanical sympathy and maintenance from one previous owner to the next. Plan the expense and buy a new one, or spend the money randomly fixing somebody else's previous problems.

Go For as late a 1200 as you can. A great improvement on the 1150. Enjoy

Had both 1150 gsa and currently 1200 gsa,no issues with the 1200 in 12000 miles,dont get me wrong the 1150 was a good bike but in my case the 1200 gsa is a better bike.
The 12 gsa just seems more modern and i think it looks better,it is a bit lighter of the front end but ive got used to it and it doesnt concern me at all,It seemed a a bit buzzy when i first got it not any more.There always seemed to be something to fettle with on the 1150 but that may just be a reflection of it being an older bike.As im in my late thirties the 12 probably appeals more being that bit more modern Any way somebody else will tell u different so best to try a 12 and make ur own mind up,hope this helps

thanks for the info, il try and take one for a spin this weekend, never no my 1150 mite be up for sale come monday
