Does anyone know if the wire wheels on the GSA 12 are any different to the standard bikes ? There seem to be a few threads about these bending after only light off roading?

I don't know if this helps, but I was impressed to see the GSA had the spokes threaded through the rim edges outside the tyre wall, presumably allowing tubeless tyres. Nice looking rims as well. PB

Been like that for about the past 16 years on boxer GS's - have you only just noticed

Who had a wheel bend? They seem pretty strong to me. And as far as I can see, the Adv wheels are the same as the standard ones, maybe a different colour.

They seem to be OK on the BMW Offroad Skills Course. I wouldn't call that light use offroad!!! Incidently the GS1200 has been the cheapest bike to run for them over the season.
