Givi top box plate is the same as for the standard 1300
Thanks for the information. I plan to use my large Givi alloy “coffin” and not bother with BMW’s ‘kin enormous panniers.

SW Motech do a very neat arrangement.
I’ve just purchased a used September registered 1300GS and it came with a full set of Shad luggage. They are aluminium top box and panniers which are very sturdy and well made, i think I actually prefer them to the old 1250 GSA boxes but yet to use them in anger. The top box Terra 48 should take 2 helmets so i will only use the top box 90% of the time. The frames look similar to the old GSA frames but in black. So i now have a full set of the BMW vario frames and mounting plates so may sell them on. I will post some pics when i get a moment.
What’s people been told about the BMW GSA luggage and availability?

Heard that there's likely to be nothing till January at the earliest
I was advised March/April last week when I enquired.
Is that for the new GSA ? Or the date for revised vario panniers for the GS ? Surprised there is a wait for the new GSA luggage ?
I am also informed that luggage is around March. My 1300GSA will be with me before this Christmas
Mates ordered a standard R1300 GS and been told, June or July earliest for his panniers.

I have chosen to collect in January so its a 2025 year on V5 not sure if it will make much difference when its sold again.I am also informed that luggage is around March. My 1300GSA will be with me before this Christmas
Pretty poor of BMW isn’t it, they cocked up badly with the GS on the panniers and now release the new GSA and don’t have enough luggage to supply with the bike. These days for 90% plus it’s a road touring bike and they don’t have topbox and panniers available
It is but I’d rather know now that the luggage is not upto standard, hopefully bumot will produce some in the near future

As do the panniers, around 8kg a piece empty
