Hi,

Guess this looks like a question for GS Rich who seems to be the fountain of all knowledge on autocom!

I have a Smart-7 which I wish to connect to my Nav III - is this just a lead or do I need a 128x to supress noise?

I have an Iphone plugged into the Active 7 phone socket - feeding me tunes

and I have a bike to bike motorola lead into the din plug for bike to bike comms.

Plan was to plug GPS feed from nav III into music port.

GSRich / all any problems with the above / any extras I will need??

Many thanks

Rob

Hi Rob,

We normally use our Part 1282 £30 (isolation splitter box) and Part 1294 £6 (2.5mm mono to 3.5mm stereo GPS lead) and split the phone socket. The music socket runs on a stereo connection as the GPS is mono :thumb2

Also your iPhone would be better in the music socket if its being used as a music source not phone etc

Hi Rich

Thanks for rapid response.

Can I pick your brains once more.

Iphone 3g - connected to same autocom - by wire not blue tooth - don't like blue tooth for music / calls - its a pain.

I see online various forums for making a iphone 3g compatible cable.

See :-

Question is - is there a genuine autocom cable for iphone 3g for both music and calls? ands whic port of the active 7 should it go into?

Cheers

Rob
