Just changed from the aux lights to the LED's. A couple of pics below for anyone who's interested (first is the aux lights and the second is the LED's).

Frankly - light output looks very similar (I think the slightly longer reach of the aux lights in the first pic is just the adjustment) but the LED's give a whiter light and a more defined beam with a much greater horizontal spread.

Was it worth the money? Well, for me, living in a very rural location where having the verges and hedgerows well lit is important it's a great improvement.

Not much difference when you look at the drive, but when you look at the extremes of left and right there's a big improvement.

Yep, that's what I was looking for.

I'd previously been running 35W HID's through the old aux lights and the thick fish-eye lense on them just scattered the light everywhere. These are a great improvement.:thumb

Can you just get the new lights to replace the older ones or do you need all the connections etc.

The connection on the light is different to the OEM aux lights but BMW sells the cable. You then have two choices - cut the plugs off the existing loom and splice the new cable in or buy THESE from china and make your own lead. I did the latter:thumb2

Looks like a possability :thumb2

Hi,

Do you remember which cable on the led lights is the + and which is the -?
I just received my lights today and I just need to install them...

Thanks.

On the contrary, with the original aux lights you can see beyond the gate, with the LED's not. You say maybe an adjustment issue but the real test is surely to have them both adjusted in a similar manner ;)
