I'm looking around for a good bike cover. I've read in the Rider mag Dec08 that there's a good one for £40 but the GSA is a big tall bike so I'm guessing none of the main stream covers will do. Any suggestions please?
I have used one from here: (http://www.bike-covers.com/) for the past 15 months and it has been fine. On my GSA the cover comes down to 2" above the ground at the rear and below the front wheel spindle when the screen is fully up.
It has straps and clasps front and back and a pair of eyelets under the belly, which I put a small padlock through as my bike lives outside all year.
It has a nice tailored fit and doesn't flap about in the wind. The material is quite thick and stiff and it holds up well.
The only thing I wish was that it was 3" deeper at the front. I will buy one again when this one is knackered and ask for a longer drop at the front to cover the whole of the front wheel.
Otherwise it's great, made in the UK and good value for money.
I've got a Motrax one - they come in a variety of sizes - the "large fits my GSA well, even with the topbox on.
The rear portion is cotton lined so you can't burn it on the exhaust (although I stupidly managed to burn a hole in the front part pulling it over the bike when I hadn't let it cool long enough).
My bike lives outside & this seems to do a pretty good job of protecting it.
Oxford Stormtex large...... excellent........my bike sits in the street all year round.....even prevented "topple" damage at one point......one of the few I've owned where the soft interior hasn't parted company with the rest of the cover after a few months
Another Motrax owner - I've the large mediumweight one, too.
Only thing I'd consider looking for to improve it is one with heatproof sections for the headers, as I find waiting for it to cool down and going back out to put it to bed a bit of a PITA.

Oxford Stormex, Large. Well thick, , seems bulletproof and will no doubt last a few seasons. Cost about £60 I think, well worth it. Its fleecy lined and so far has has been totally waterproof.
Leaves approx 2-3 inches of front wheel showing , but as it has an elasticated hem this means it does sit mostly clear of the floor so doesn't wick moisture up into it. Also the bottom third is heatproof so no exhaust burns. ive even put the cover straight on after a ride without any cool-down without any ill effects so far.
I've bought the Oxford Stormex cover in Large. Nice cover but wished it was longer! Does not cover ALL the tyres all the way down to the ground. The place on the cover where it looks like it was made to go over the mirrors is way off position as if the cover is too long. If I have my top box on the cover doesn't even cover all of the swinging arm on back wheel! I bought mine at the bike show NEC on Sunday for £65 which included a mini tool kit. It was cheaper on the net but I didn't have to bother with postage - I just had to carry it around with me all day
I was reading in my local newsagents (just evaluating before potential purchase you understand ) the new 'Ride' mag'.
It has a review of around 16 of them, sorry i can't remember what came top, but if your passing a newsagent it may be worth a quick peak.

I read that, I think the Oxford came second but only because it was £5 dearer than the winner. The oxford listed in that test was the Rainex and not the Stormex.
