GSA Crash bars

Wondering if anyone can help me re my 1200GSA, 2016 model and its crash bars?

I noticed when I fitted crash bar bags that the left one as you sit on the bike is closer to the bodywork than the right one.

On further inspection it appears the crash bar top mount is shorter on the left side than the right -is there a piece missing or has someone bodged a different crash bar on-are your bikes symmetrical or are they all like that ?

mine is like that as well - less clearance on the left (gear side) than the right (brake side)....

Maybe they are all like that, I’ll stop worrying and just enjoy the bike.
