I've done a search which wasn't much help. Anyone know if the foot pegs for the 12GSA will fit a standard GS without a lot of mucking about? I've checked the parts fiche's on another site and the only difference appears to be the pegs, the retainer springs and the fact that the pegs attach directly to the frame on the GSA as opposed to hangers on the GS
If this proves to be a no-no - Pivot Pegs or Fast Way?
Many thanks

Taking into account that after market suppliers such as Touratech list the same pegs for the BMW R850/1100/1150 GS and Adventure/F650GS/DAKAR and
R 1200 GS/Adventure I'd say the answer is they will fit.

Personally I went with a set of Fastways over a year ago and am well impressed with the improvement they make on the bike.

Any idea of the cost of a set of GSA pegs from BMW?

NN is selling the Fast Way pegs for £79.00. The BMW GSA pegs & springs comes to £84.13 with VAT so I guess with NN P&P it's very much of a muchness :nenau

But the BMW pegs are so much better looking than Fastways.............

Down to personal preference I know but hence the reason for the query. Surely someone out there has tried this mod. I have e-mailed by dealer on this but I thought I'd seek some pearls of wisdom here first :D

I have Aprilia MotoX pegs on my 1150 :D:D:D

GSA pegs are better for off road work than the other pegs mentioned.

They will fit.......bet ya!!!!!

Had these fitted to my 1200GS by BMW at the 600 mile service: Evolution footpeg kit. The peg can be rotated on its fixings to lower it 20mm or so (makes a bigger difference then I thought it would) £90.67 inc VAT, well pleased with them.

edit: I should add the pegs were supplied by the dealer.

I bought Fastway footpegs for my 1200, primarily to lower the position by 20mm, and secondly for the superb extra grip they provide when off-road.
They were so good that I switched them over to my Adventure when I bought it.
An additional benefit is that the original 1200 footpeg rubber can be pushed into one of the two slots in the Fastway pegs to give you a 'smoother' feel if needed, and easily and quickly popped out again if you're doing an off-road section and want full grip.

Oh well, gonna find out myself soon 'cos I've gone and ordered some GSA pegs. Barry at NOG reckoned that there would be no problem :thumb

hello

i install adv pegs on my std 12gs
you cannot install the adv ones directly inthe standard frame
two bush witch are welded on the frame must be removed.

the tilt is not exactly the same, they are slightly back bended but it doesn't matter

Footpegs

I asked Pidcocks the self same question and was told that the Adventure pegs don't fit on the standard GS presumably for the reason above.

So far I'm still on the standard pegs minus the rubbers.

I've had to cable tie rubber hose over teh front of my GSA pegs to stop holes being worn in the sole of my left Altberg boot. The rotating action of changing gear was ripping them to shreds. Looks pants but is effective

And the answer is..... No they won't. Arse :blast
As mentioned above, the hangers on the standard GS have two washers spot welded to the inside narrowing the gap by 3.5mm which is exactly how much wider the pivot point on the GSA peg is.
I thought about milling this part of the GSA peg down but that's a no-no because then the spring won't fit on.
The other option is to grind off the welds holding the washers but then you're actually buggering about with the frame of the bike which I don't fancy much.
I guess I'll just put up with the standard pegs :D
