GSA handover date

How many times have you posted on this thread, compared to me?:augie

My only question is why the GSA is being launched 6 weeks late in the UK (which is still unanswered).

Have you asked BMW Customer Services.

If so - what was their answer?
If no - why not?

Of course I haven't asked BMW UK, as I'm not ordering one.

I'm interested to know why the delay, as it just seems odd that the bike has been launched around the world, people have taken delivery of their bikes, yet the UK has to wait 6 weeks. It also seems odd that nobody that has a bike on order has thought to ask their dealer either.:blast

I won't bring it up again, as it's obviously upsetting some people, so this will remain one of life's little mysteries.:comfort:D

I remember picking up a brand new Buell before launch date and before the registration was valid, Feb for the March:thumb2
If I would have had the hassle this matey has had, I would have burnt the dealership down for sure:beerjug:

Just imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth just because they have too wait and they wont be first to get one....ffs its only a bike and most likely it would sit un used till the spring time anyway. How many more sleeps ? :comfort:comfort :augie

Interesting that Wapping, Delboy777 and JB are the most prolific posters in this thead and yet none of them own or have ordered a Toilet GS
Perhaps they could form their own clique and discuss the joys of the K1600's barge like handling, how great the 1150GSA still is and how much buying a Hexhead on PCP costs in total :augie

I ordered mine in September with a promised delivery date to me of March 15th. Now told first week of April. Raised issue with BMW UK and Dealer . Both just ignore me now they have my Money.

Anyone else had false promises on delivery from dealer ?

Read the small print on the back of your order confirmation. You will find that all delivery dates are estimates and not binding. When will people wise up and stop whinging?

Ordered mine at the beginning of September and have a date of 27th March. Not sure that I would want it yet even if it was offered.

Have you thought of asking for your deposit back if you are that unhappy about a 2 week delay :nenau

You are the one in a previous post that say your question is STIL NOT ANSWERED

So you are the one that is concerned

YOU posted this thread

So obviously EVEN though you have not ordered one it seems to be a major concern to you as you keep on saying your question has NOT been answered

I do have one on order and the delay does not bother me

You are confusing being concerned with taking an interest. Why would I be concerned about something that doesn't affect me?:nenau

And it's not just me that finds it peculiar, as I mentioned it to my dealer today (while post discussing an unrelated matter), and they had already asked BMW, because they have had several customers with the new bike on order wanting to know (obviously not the fair weather riders;)).:rob

You haven't answered my question , but felt the need to comment . I do love this section .

Your question was about if others had had broken promises re delivery dates.

There is no question to answer as a dealer will never make promises about delivery dates. They will only estimate. Hence my post.

FWIW I have a new GSA on order and my estimated collection date is last week in March.

Whats yer beef Mr Prop?

My dealer promised me a delivery date not am estimate.

No beef other than I was just asking if others had similar experience. A few have pm'd me. My bike is my only transport so a week or two late does make a difference.

It doesn't matter
It doesn't matter
It doesn't matter
It doesn't matter
It doesn't matter

Just wait and you'll get your bike
Bike 6wks later into uk who gives a F
Bring issues to the forum and you will get mind bending BS
Go talk to the dealer and get a good result

It doesn't matter
Calm down FFS

I was quoted 'beginning of April' for my delivery date, which I am not too fussed about as I only paid my deposit early January. What I would like to know is.... what about the luggage? I was told that it would be unlikely that luggage would be available at launch (reminiscent of the same problem with the LC GS last year?). Anyone had the same word, or is my dealer just playing it safe?
