Just wondering why anyone would want to carry the Ally boxes into a Hotel
Usually covered in crap or dripping wet,use the inner liner bags,undo your lids slip the bags out and carry them nice and clean to your scrumptious luxury room !! Seemples
+1....never understood why folks take their panniers off,bit like taking your back wheel and screen off the bike and taking it to your room.
-1 never understood why folks might travel around with empty boxes attached when staying at a Hotel for more than 1 night, unless it's for the cred factor and to maintain the "just back from Waitrose" look
It's to store the quick release clocks in and prevent theft?

How do the BMW bags measure up in terms of quality and price compared to the alternatives?
BMW and me go back a long way - and have yet to be convinced they have the words 'best' & 'value' in their Germanic dictionary.

I brought some inner bags from Mane Event for my GSA and think they are spot on, all three bags cost about £110.00
As a comparison a mate of mine got some BMW ones which cost over £250 and ended up buying some from Mane Event and selling his BMW ones.
The BMW ones are a good strong waterproof bag which can be used to strap on top of the ally boxes but if you just want some good fitting inner bags for lifting in and out I would recommend the ones from Mane Event

Thanks Lee. I have set of Mane Event bags that I bought when I had my K1300GT -and managed to use them in my previous two GSA's and K16. Hope to be able to continue to use them with the new GSA, although one has started to split along a seem. Am looking for waterproof bags to strap to pannier lids to compliment my inner bags hence my interest in the BMW ones. If as your friend says there good, strong and waterproof then will probably be my next purchase.
