GSA Shocks on a GS?

Hi all,
Has anyone fitted GSA Shocks to a GS?
Indeed, CAN it be done?

Does it lift the bike at all?

There's no reason why it can't be done but it will raise the bike so you'll probably need a new side and centre stand.

Never heard of anyone doing this - if it's too low a higher seat would be more cost effective. If you want better suspension I'd put the money towards Ohlins (incidentally these make the bike sit higher as you get less static sag).

I have heard that it has been done and the report was favourable.

I am also still on a quest to find the right Ohlins.

Ever thought of a set of Maxtons?

Just wondered what or how they differed from others. Old GS had a set on from previous owner, who was/is rather knowledgeable, and this was clearly his recommendation.

Subsequent (benefit of buying local!) he told me Maxton set them up for you, personal to you and also can maintain them.

Any views on Maxton - my man was very very pro. Even got a name here some where. - Richard Godell?

Never used them myself, traded the GS in.
