Does anyone know if the base brackets are available separately, real OEM and BMW don't list them as a part.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Seeing as the luggage is made for BMW by Touratech, can't you check their catalogue ??

Spare brackets would also need the locking clamp. Try to find a damaged box and cut off the base.
You could also make up a metal base plate to go under the rack and use Dzuz fasteners to hold the Givi plate down. Topbox locked to plate will stop access to the fasteners.

Ok email back from Touratech, they don't supply the brackets separately!

So anyone come up with a way to mount a Pelicase securely but quick release?

Done the p clip thing and bolts with a bracket, now looking for a way to take it off without faffing with undoing bolts and what not

Maybe provide a pattern to Mark Hooton (Cymark bike parts)??

Perhaps he could fabricate the mounting plate or add it to his line up of GS/A stuff.

He used to have a GSA he may not even need a pattern. Might be worth emailing him: [email protected]

You could also ask your local Motorrad dealer if they have any badly damaged (scrap) luggage you could rob the mounting plates from ?

You could use an ally plate under the rack with Dzuz fasteners from inside the Peli case. Not quite quick release but better than P clips and bolts.
Alternatively drill & tap the rack in ways that won't look messy and bolt from inside the case.

I think your best solution here is to buy some Ally boxes that fit a GSA LC and then get the bike to go with them !!

I used the stainless side rail mounts from a damaged o/s 1200GSA pannier I converted into a 'custom' topbox.

I cut the rails and made four mounts and they worked the same as the GSA topbox originals and they'd fit on any box with a flat base.

Damaged stuff doesn't seem to be coming up at the minute, but will keep my eyes open, thanks
