GSA wheels on a GS?

yes but the rear wheel bolts are different so get the matching ones for the rear wheel.if the front wheel is complete with discs may be differnt depends on year,bare wheel and put your old discs on no problem.if you are going to remove discs use a heat gun to soften the locktite first,and get new bolts from bm theyare not expensive.
 
You may also be disappointed, SOME GSA Wheels are not as round and true as their cast equivalents or as corrosion resistant unfortunately.

A number of people have changed back for that reason..............it is also very difficult to get them trued.

I've held off for that reason, and I prefer spoked wheels!
 
My spoked wire wheel hubs have corroded around the spoke holes. It's either a full strip and rebuild at silly money cost or fiddle about with silver Hammerite paint and hope.

The wheels will straight swap if you have the discs and as @autogs says the correct rear wheel bolts. The disc mounts vary so swapping discs between wheel types and build year can be a lottery for alignment.

I use cast alloy wheels in the winter and wires in the summer. My cast wheels are painted gloss black so look pretty cool on the bike.
 
This is a rebuilt rear with heavy duty spokes, I did it because of the corrosion,
although very sexy its cheaper to buy a good one TBH.

Even with powder coated hubs the spoke holes will have to be cleaned out, so metal to metal contact is inevitable. They need to be protected with high dielectric marine grease but getting the wheel builder to religiously use that stuff is another story.

I thought it would be a strip the old spokes out and reuse them, no way, they were corroded in so tight to the rim I had to cut the hub out and then cut the spokes right down and drift them out, even then it was touch and go whether they would all come out without fucking the rim up.

Had the rim and hub powder coated and went and seen Doug Richardson ex of Devon wheel builders who makes his own spokes that are 0.5mm bigger,these were £100, I then built the wheel up using nikel anti seize compound in the rim and hub holes, made a hub to attach to truing Jig and tried to true it but got nowhere, its all reversed compared to a normal spoked rim and I think only the people with years of experience at it will be able to do it.
In the end I took the wheel to Doug who is winding down his activities, He doesnt like them that much either but agreed to help me out as long as there was no time limit, I got it back about a month later £60.
That was autumn last year, going to fit them soon when I get some rear wheel bolts of an adventure:nenau anybody?

I do wonder why it's so hard to make normal rims work with tubeless tyres. A thick bonded rim tape should do the job. But new hubs wont come cheap.

Try Hagon in Essex. They are proper wheel builders, rebuilt mine in double quick time and did a great job.
