fitted a touratech windscreen spoiler to my gsa today, after trying something similar off roger from this forum ( cheers roger!) and cant believe the difference it has made. riding at 80mph with viser fully up, now thats what i call a result! anybody on here who is pondering over what to do about turbulence or wind noise then look no further. i have been p*$$ing about for weeks now what with seat at different levels, screen at different heights, even fitted some torbinators which was a complete waste of time and money, and found that the screen spoiler combined with a tank bag sorts all that crap out. riding is now enjoyable again:thumb2

touratech spoiler

hi
am looking for the same fix on mine.Did you fit the 'hard bracket' to the pivot that touratech recommend?

Still not convinced

Have been thinking about this for a while now, Can I ask what height are you and why you said using a tank bag with the spoiler makes a differance. Also what tankbag are you using?

have put the touratech locking windscreen spoiler part no; 01-044-0752-0
before i put the screen on i put a bmw tank bag on and this seemed to stop the turbulance but when i installed the screen spoiler the noise stopped also. maybe the bag fills the vacuum behind the screen which creates the turbulance? i live in stourbridge west midlands, if you want to try the bag and spoiler on yours you are quite welcome to come and borrow it for an hour but you will probably realise within a hundred yards the difference that they make because i did. i am 6'0" medium build and riding at 80mph with my viser up is a result in my book

Many thanks & Looks like the Isle of Mull to me

I love Mull, haven't been tghere for a few years though!

Stourbridgebob many thanks for your kind offer. Popped down to the Isle of White Tuesday for an overnight and back yesterday. I will have to sort out this noise turbulance business. Many thanks for your kind offer. If it is alright can I get back to you on that I am busy for the next couple of weekends but might just take you up on the offer if it still stands. Many thanks. Stuart

I bought one for my F650GS. I am 5ft nothing and was getting wind blown directly onto the top of my visor which made me cold and made riding a bit of an ordeal. Hubbie got me one of these and fitted it to the larger screen and hey presto, no noise, no wind.

I also bought the garmin holder which is much more use than the Garmin on it's own. I couldn't see to get the screw out to release it so it was stuck on bike till I could find someone tall enough to actually see it and remove it. Now I can just unlock it and walk away. Plus locked on it's a bit tricky for someone with light fingers to pull off.

feel free to come and have a go stuart, i rode back to essex and back for my first service back in september and realised then that i had to do something about the noise, otherwise i would have probably have traded my gsa in for a k1300 (previous bike was a blackbird) but i thought i would try and sort something out as i liked the bike. now that ive got the screen spoiler and tank bag together it really has made a massive difference. the pic gasboy has posted is the same as mine except i think my tank bag is a little bigger??
anyway, like i said if you want to borrow it dor a rideout then pm me.

I bought the flip up spoiler from Touratech for the GSA2010, but took it off as soon as hairlines starting appearing round all the 4 mounting screws. Anyone know if the screen support from Touratech works also on the 2010, and does it solve the problem of cracking screen? Might be cheaper just to get some oversized washers and fix those.
