Optimistic ask........does anyone live in the South Yorkshire area that has an alternative seat to the (non) comfort one on the 1300 GSA, that I could sit on and try? Not keen on spending £500 on Wunderlich/Isotta/Sargent one, to find out it's rubbish too. I've tried every position, cool covers, undies and bungs. At my wits end ! Could meet you at Squires, BMW Rotherham etc or anywhere to sort. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Thanks in advance.

Hi - I'm not in your area so can't help with your request, but from my experience I'd say it's unlikely you'll know much just by sitting on a seat in a carpark. The Sargenet for example feels definitely worse or odd at least when you first try them. It's only a good few hours later that you realise it's actually helping.

Regardless I hope you get something sorted out - crap seats are literally a pain in the ass. Good luck.

I have Wonderlich and its hardly an improvement, maybe a little. I usually buy Sargent which have been very good, once you realise they feel hard to begin with but work well on long days. Sargent were not available when I purchased Wonderlich

I live in Darton near Barnsley and have a Wonderlich comfort high seat fitted to my 1300 that you are welcome to have a sit on. I'm in today and tomorrow if you can make it across, otherwise it will be next week.

If it helps it's a definite improvement on the old one but I can't call it a game changer. However I found the original so uncomfortable I consider it's been worth the expense.

DM me if you are interested

no where near you but... i have done c17k on 2 1300's both with comfort seats. I changed to a Wunderlich and it transformed my ability to ride all day long. I previously struggled to ride for an hour without discomfort to the point my bike was in getting some work done and the load bike had a comfort seat fitted which reminded how shit they are.

keep an eye out on here or ebay as seats do turn up secondhand. both a mate and I get secondhand ones on the bay.

I have a Sargent and like it. You are welcome to try it. I did 350 miles yesterday and stoped once for fuel, no problems. I am 50 miles away in Grimsby.

Before you arrange any testing.
Please be aware the GSA seat is different to the GS.

As far as I’m aware. The BMW R1300GSA comfort seat is just the fact that it’s heated.
I owned the Standard and the low BMW R1300GSA comfort seats. They lied.
