Ahoy hoy Comrades.
We're currently in Crete and these guys are just up the road from us.
I've had a quick chat and they seem pretty nice but I've not actually used them yet.
They use Himalaya 450s at a cost of €120 per day and the guide is €200 per day split between however many there are of you.
The bike hire seems quite dear as you can hire CF MOTO600s (?) just up the road for €50 per day.
Helmets are provided, you have bring your own riding gear.
Crete looks well worth a good poke about.

I'll post the website details when II get back to the room.

They also do EMTB guided tours which look good but they need a minimum of 2 people so I've left my details with them and they'll call me if they get another interested party.

I spoke with a couple of the bike rental people, off roading is a strict no-no even on CRFs. Their insurance specifically says no cover off road as does their breakdown and recovery cover apparently.

There are some very good small tar roads there, depends how keen you are to get into the gravel I guess and what that’s worth. If not there often, might be worth it

I rode my GSA to Crete last year and did a little soft off roading. I was told afterwards I was lucky as the sharp rocky terrain normally shreds road tyres. Loads of places to rent bikes and you can often get decent discounts but if its a bike holiday you’re after IMHO Greece offers far more
