GUIDES FOR BAKERY RIDE OUT needed

PLEASE please do carry on, I will do a small speech to thank everybody and explaining where lunch is at due to a maybe change of if weather is bad, then over to the GUIDES, I also have a printer and laminater at bakery if you need any A,B,C signs etc

Had a chat with Mike F and Dolly and I think our plan is to introduce ourselves, outline our ride and then get people to grab a piece of paper off of us straight away so they know what group they are in. That way, when we go to our bikes at the front the riders can group up evenly distributed across the guides and get off quickly. Hopefully that is ok with the other guides.

I will do some pieces of paper with A, B C, etc and distribute these to the guides if you like. BAKERMAN - can you do a laminated sign for each guide to hold up with A, B, C etc? Thanks

Should make it quick and easy - although I have a feeling LostThePlot will end up with 35 again!!

Scribes and I would rather lead lads who are happy to ride the muddy trails, rather than the gravel tracks.

Went out on the Plain last Friday, it is very slippery out there.

Go careful on the chalk.

Watch the puddles, some of them are deeper than your bikes.

We were thinking of going out through Appleshaw, Collingbourne, Devizes.

Crash........

My route will be primarily on the plain proper. Taking in the trails / Byways from Shepton Bellinger up through Tidworth, UpAvon, Figeldean, Durrington then across to the plain central, some fast gravel with the whoops takng in Tilshead, German Village and across to Imber for lunch. On the aft'noon will go via Stonehenge, a final blast across the centre and zig zag down the chalk across back to Weyhill.

I would say 60% Fireroads, 5% Road with the rest being muddy ruts, hill climbs and bogs.

Intermediate level, probably 65 - 75 miles all in. Not for the type that like to stop every 5 minutes, but not enduro level either.

Sound perfect im up for this, happy to go at the back. Stops me upsetting people with the roosting

I'll head straight for Tidworth and pick up the plain there - be on the sloppy stuff through the day! Cover the byways Bulford side then Larkhill over to Imber. After an excellent lunch will then do Lavington area and head back via German Village, Stonehendge etc.

Know the area and lanes very well so will do plenty of nice byways at a nice steady pace but can take an level really.

Sounds like Crash and LostThePlot might be good for those looking for a challenging run; mine can be challenging to intermediate; think Mike F will be a good mixed bag; Dolly steady intermediate; Bakerman novice.

Should work well I'm sure.

Agree with Crash - if in doubt, don't go through the "puddle"!! (Dolly!!)
