i need your help....my gs wont go beyond 120 kph....when i twist the throttle nothing happens...it just gurbles....but from 0 to 100 is no problem...it just above 120 when the problem appears....

checked the throttle cables and they are properly seated....

what should i do...

thanks in advance

Unhitch the caravan ? ? ?

:D :D :D :D

Model, year, mileage, condition ?

What have you checked ?

Have you disconnected the battery recently and not re-set the TPS (switch on, wind throttle to max and back, slowly, three times) ?

What colour are the plugs ?

Is the fuel quality OK ?

When was the fuel filter last changed ?

When was the air filter last changed ?

Well. that's a start . . . Good luck.

Bob.

Well. that's a start . . . Good luck.

Since it's a 2003 bike,it will be a twin spark engine.
The HT sticks on these can fail and give poor performance.
To isolate the problem you have to unplug the 2ndary (the lower,i think) coils and see if it runs.Do a search for accurate info.

do you mean i will remove the leads to the secondary spark plugs and start the motor?

Have a read of this recent thread and follow Steptoes advice regarding isolating failing coil sticks.

You can search the forum for related problems by going to the "Search" button at the top of the page, clicking on it and typing in a key word;eg "coil" in this case in the box.You can find fix procedures and just about any fault that BWMs can fail with on here.

I finally did the test of the coil

started the motor....removed secondary plug....no change in motor sound on both sides....does that mean that both coils are ok?
